Xplode Magazine has grown its readership by 167% over the past 12 months according to the latest readership figures. The new figure is 35,105 compared to 13,128 for the same period last year.
This is the largest percentage growth quarter on quarter with an increase of 36% from 25,658 readers for the last quarter of 2014.
“These new figures are fantastic. Let’s not forget that Xplode is a registered charity and all of the young people involved volunteer their time on the project. Not only do they have access to a platform that gives them a voice, they’re also able to enhance their skills whilst showcasing this voice” says Chief Executive, Saeed Atcha.
Chloe Bennett, Managing Editor adds:
“I think we can all agree that communication, time management and working as part of a team are skills that are required in every single job and we provide teens with the platform to practice and perfect these skills so they’re ready for the working world.”
The launch of ‘Xplode XTRA’ has also been announced in line with these new readership statistics. Xplode XTRA is made up of two strands;
- Vlogging, with a new YouTube channel housing Music and Film reviews as well as ‘How-To’ and other videos.
- A radio stream, consisting of non-stop hit music and showbiz news which will be linked with a brand new app bringing the Xplode portfolio together.
Managing Editor for Xplode XTRA, Edward Jankowski says:
“This is a really exciting time for Xplode with the launch of these brand extensions. We truly are investing in the quality of lives of young people in our local area and we want our readers to be in touch, wherever they are.”
